One Day National Conference on Emerging Trends in Digital Technology-2020 (ETDT’20) is jointly organized by SVKM’s Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Vile Parle Mumbai and Institute of Forensic Science, Government of Maharashtra.
The main aim of the conference is to inculcate the attitude of research in young researchers. This conference will create an awareness of new digital technologies in networking, security and digital forensic. This conference will provide a platform for fruitful interaction among the researchers, nation-wide.
SVKM
Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal is a public charitable trust registered under the Societies Registration Act and Bombay Public Trust Act. SVKM has always been committed to the cause of providing high quality education at various levels. After beginning its journey in the early 1930's, SVKM has blossomed into an educational colossus that has attained national recognition in multiple streams of higher education.
Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts, Science and Commerce
SVKM's Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts, Science and Commerce was stablished in 2003. In its journey during the past 17 years it has grown in strength from 150 students from its inception to a total strength of 1680 students today. The college is affiliated to University of Mumbai and offers professional degrees in under graduate and post graduate streams like Mass Media, Management and Information Technology.
Institute of Forensic Science
The Higher and Technical Education Department of Government of Maharashtra is committed to create a world class curriculum in Forensic Science to educate the different class of people of society to counter this global techno-crimes scenario. Different Forensic Science Courses are formulated by the highly professional members of the study committee, formed by The Higher and Technical Education Department of Government of Maharashtra to meet the need of the upcoming students, agencies involved in crime detection namely police officers, Forensic scientists, medico-legal Doctors, Judicial officers, media people, journalists, corporate organizations etc. in a scientific and legal way. The Institute was established on 17th August 2009, in Mumbai, and also in Aurangabad and Nagpur.
Objectives of the Conference
The main objectives of this conference are:
1. To identify the research gaps in the diverse domain of security and forensics science and its integration to address data security and human safety
2. To identify various research problems in the domain of digital technologies and forensic science
3. To provide the common platform to exchange ideas among the researchers and industrial practitioners
