ABOUT MASS MEDIA DEPARTMENT Mass Media Program at Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts, Science and Commerce in sync with the University of Mumbai’s BMM/ BAMMC program objectives focus on the development of critical thinking, professional writing skills and effective oral communication. It majorly prepares students for a wide variety of careers in business and industry, advertising, public relations and journalism, or advanced study.

 

About Usha Pravin Gandhi College SVKM’s Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts, Science and Commerce was established in 2003. In its journey during the past 17 years it has grown in strength from 150 students during its inception to a total strength of 1680 students today. The college is affiliated to University of Mumbai and offers professional degrees in under graduate and post graduate streams like Mass Media, Management and Information Technology.

 

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE The ubiquitous presence of media for communication in our lives has moved towards digital, mobile, and social media environment. It has led to not just an intense competition for attention but a need to delve deeper in terms of research into its various facets to discover & unearth the implications & influences. In this environment, technology companies are enabling billions of users across the globe to navigate and use digital media for communication in easy ways through tools such as search, social networking, video sharing, and messaging. The high-choice media environment with new forms of participation has come with its own opportunities & challenges and as academicians and researchers it leads into interesting discussions on the same. People’s sensibilities & psychologies are changing and the confluence of popular culture in the mix drives further deliberations.With these thoughts & questions in mind, SVKM’s Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Arts, Science & Commerce is endeavouring to bring together students, teachers, industry professionals & research scholars to discuss and share their work and findings.

Conference Guidelines The research paper has to be in the standard APA format The full length of the research paper should not be more than 2000 words. It is mandatory for the authors to present the papers.The acceptance of the papers lay to the decision of the expert/peer team of the conference. The abstract/research paper has to be emailed to upgbammcconf2022@gmail.com

Fees: There is no fee charged for presentation and participation. The selected papers will be published in SCOPUS Indexed/UGC CARE listed journals. The conference will be held in hybrid mode on MS Teams
